First Search is a package of databases that includes Article First and ECO. Article First is good for magazine articles and things like book and movie reviews. ECO contains articles from professional journals.

The Pantagraph
The Pantagraph is the newspaper based in Bloomington-Normal that covers events in much of central Illinois. Use their website to find articles on local happenings and events, some national events, and classified ads.Local paper for Lincoln, Illinois archives some articles from the daily paper.
The Peoria paper archives articles for seven days, accessible free of charge.
The Champaign/Urbana paper does not archive all it's articles, but does archive many going back several years.
Chicago Tribune
The Tribune is Chicago's major newspaper. Their website provides limited access to the contents of the daily paper, including major articles, classified adds, sports coverage, and a photo gallery.
