Attention Students Teen Tech Week is a national initiative aimed at helping teens gain tech skills! The OHS Library Media Center is having a Digital Photo & Image Contest. Students are encouraged to (1) take original photos, (2) create an image, or (3) write an original poem or paragraph, and then digitally alter the picture, image, or text using an online source like Wordle, Animoto, ImageChef, BeFunky, Fotoflexer, BigHugeLabs, Fodey, PhotoFunia, Blabberize, Photostory, Photoshop or another one of your own. Prizes include a $20 gift card and Cardinals’ and Cubs’ beach towels. Come to the library for more information. Email your entry to Ms. Mullen at susan.mullen@olympia.org by Friday, March 11th by 3:15 pm.

Wordle is a tool for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide.
Animoto turns your photos, video clips, and music into masterpiece slideshows to share with everyone.
Image Chef is a tool for creating slideshows, arranging photos, symbols and text, editing, cropping and adding frames to pictures, word mosaics and more!
BeFunky let’s you add different effects to photos!
Fotoflexer is for dazzling photo effects, fonts, shapes, doodling, retouches, distortions, and more!
BigHugeLabs will help you do cool stuff with your pics like motivational posters, jigsaw puzzles, magazine covers, movie posters, cubes, beads, photobooth, and more!!!
Fodey helps you create a newspaper clipping, talking squirrels, clapper board, ninja text, and more!
PhotoFunia created photoeffects like billboards, t-shirt photos, wall frames and more.
Blabberize is a new service that allows you to create your own talking picture, basically a moving mouth on a still image.
