School Improvement Action Plan
Goal: All students will demonstrate improvement in fluency and comprehension of text in all content areas.
Intervention: Maintain SSR program.
Purpose:
· Increase student interest in reading for pleasure, especially male students.
· Increase fluency and comprehension by reading high-interest books (fiction and nonfiction) that are within students’ reading level
Rationale: SSR has an estimated effect size of .40 on students’ comprehension (Building Academic Background Knowledge)
