Wow!  You have really grown this year!  Did you know that there is something else that grows, too?  Plants!  That's right-plants live and grow just like you.  They have body parts and need things to grow.  We are going to learn all about plants!

After reading books and looking at websites about plants, you will:

1.Make a plant mobile to hang in the classroom.
2.Draw a picture of a plant with KidPix and label all of the parts.
3.Bring a part of a plant that we eat to school and talk about it with the class, then complete the We Eat Plants worksheet.
4.Plant a seed, watch it grow.  Write and draw about your plant in a journal each day.
5.Design a web to show what plants need.

1.First look at the websites below to learn about the parts of plants.

2.Now create a plant mobile to hang in the classroom.  You will use construction paper and yarn.  Each part of the plant must be separate.  You may make any kind of plant you want.

3.Draw a picture of a plant of any kind using KidPix and label all of the parts.
